Tim Bradstreet Original Art Blind Auction

This auction is for the album cover art for Iron Maiden's "A Matter of Life and Death".

The illustrations presented below represent Tim’s attempts to translate pre-conceived “key art” into final art for the Maiden album sleeve. First effort did not meet the artist’s standards so he set about recreating the characters in scene by photographing skulls with body-double, in coordination with fellow artist/photographer, Scott Harben. The results of the preliminary pencil stages are seen here as "pencil piece 1 & 2". While the overall image was approved, the band asked Tim for additional changes to Skeleton’s faces and with Ed Hunter. These can be seen in "Piece 1 & 2". Every illustration that was completed as part of the creative process for the cover comes together in this comprehensive lot.

This blind auction will run for 1 week. Each interested party may submit one email bid with their blind offer. No one will be given any other offer attempts or have any knowledge of what the current high bid is. The person with the highest offer at the end of the week period will win the Iron Maiden: A Matter of Life and Death cover art.

The minimum bid for the auction is $5000. Shipping of $20 US, and $50 international will be added to the final bid.

Mark Hay, owner of Splash Page Comic Art & Tim's Original Art Dealer of 10 Years, will be running the auction.
