Splash Page Comic Art announces a blind auction for Lee Bermejo's Before Watchmen: Rorschach Cover Art!

Lee Bermejo's Covers are always some of the most popular pieces of art that I have the opportunity of handling.

There has been immense interest in Lee's Before Watchmen Rorschach originals, so this is a special treat! We are auctioning off the original art to the image of Rorschach that Lee drew to accompany Brian Azzarello's pitch to DC for them to receive the project.

While this piece is not currently a published cover, it will, at minimum, be published in the Before Watchmen Rorschach Hard Cover, if not the cover to it, or an individual issue for the mini series. Lee drew this piece using very tight pencils and ink finishes as he does all of his covers, and the entire Batman Noel project.

This blind auction will run for 1 week beginning Wednesday, August 22, 2012 and ending Wednesday, August 29th, 2012 at 5PM Central Std time.

Each interested party may submit one email bid with their one highest offer through the auction submission page. No one will be given any other offer attempts or have any knowledge of what the current high bid is. The person with the highest offer at the end of the week period will win the original cover art.

The original art is penciled & inked by Lee Bermejo on a piece of 11 X 17" comic art board.

The minimum bid for the auction is $4000. Shipping of $20 US, and $50 international will be added to the final bid.
