Thanks in part to Jim, he began work for the House of Ideas in 2002 with Marvel Double-Shot #2, an 11 page Dr. Doom painted story. He has since painted a number of covers including the cover to Iron Man # 63, Hawkeye Iss 1, Fantastic Four # 500, X-Men Unlimited Iss 48 featuring Wolverine, Captain America: What Price Glory? #4, Silver Surfer 6, 9 & the Mythos painted series.
Paolo also did the sculpture design for a Mystique Bust produced by Dynamic Forces. Paolo transitioned primarily to pencil & ink work on covers & pencils on interiors with his father Joe doing inks, on his Daredevil run with writer Mark Waid. He also worked for Valiant on The Valiant mini series as well as various cover assignments for other publishers. He also worked on Hellboy and the B.P.R.D 1953 with Mike Mignola writing. He has produced a number of Covers for Marvel, 6 connecting Walking Dead Deluxe Covers for Image Comics and some various other titles.
